Using Civil View

This tutorial demonstrates some ways to use Autodesk Civil View. Civil View is a visualization tool for civil engineers and transport infrastructure planners.

You begin by importing a VSP3D file from AutoCAD Civil 3D, adding a texture to the landscape, then populating the visualization with bridges, road markings, street lighting, signs, and animated vehicles.

Preparation for This Tutorial

If you have not already downloaded the tutorial files (MAX scenes and other assets), download them now and unzip them into a project folder called /Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013 tutorials. See Where to Find Tutorial Files.
On the Quick Access toolbar, click (Project Folder) and set your current project to Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2013 Tutorials.
