In our continuing efforts to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released hotfix DL22011580, which addresses an issue with CFD licensing for conformal cooling analyses with Autodesk® Simulation Moldflow® Insight - Solvers 2014 FCS, Service Pack 1, and Service Pack 2.

Conformal cooling solve relies on the presence of a valid Simulation CFD license.
When running a conformal cooling analysis, the Moldflow solver checks only for the Sim CFD 2014 Basic license. Users with the Sim CFD 2014 Advanced or Sim CFD 2014 Motion licenses may encounter the following error message:
** ERROR 313300 ** A valid SimCFD license is required for using Channel (3D) elements in a Cool (FEM) analysis
This hotfix explicitly checks for all Sim CFD 2014 licenses.
This hotfix should only be applied to systems directly affected by the issue described above, as this was the only issue this hotfix was created to address.
For application of this hotfix, your system must have the following product installed:
This hotfix is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions (downloaded together as one bundle) and is only applicable to Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight - Solvers 2014 Service Pack 2. Once installed, it will appear as an update under Add/Remove Programs and can be uninstalled from there.
