Thank you for downloading AutoCAD® 2012 for Mac® Service Pack 3
This update resolves compatibility issues that have been reported while using the software on the latest versions of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8), Mac OS X Lion (10.7.4), and Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8). It also resolves problems reported by the Customer Error Reporting (CER) utility and other general problems identified after AutoCAD 2012 for Mac Service Pack 2 was made available.

As a result of detailed information from customers who used the Customer Error Reporting (CER) utility, a number of problems were identified and fixed. Updates have been made to the following features:
3D Modeling
- Occasional crash when saving a drawing that contained lofted surfaces.
External Reference
- Occasional crash when quitting a a drawing with an external reference (Xref).
Graphics System
- Occasional crash when dragging grips in certain situations.
- Occasional crash during grip editing.
Object Enabler
- Crash when opening some specific drawings.
The following general changes and improvements have been made:
Annotation Scaling
- Column width for multiline text (Mtext) objects no longer changes to zero when in an external reference (Xref) that is bound to the parent drawing.
- Column width for annotative multiline text (Mtext) objects no longer changes to zero when the drawing is saved and reopened.
Attributes
- Block attribute is no longer moved when the block is inserted.
Dynamic Input
- The input value when grip editing a line is now applied to the extended length value.
Field
- Viewport Scale field no longer displays the wrong value.
General UI
- On Mountain Lion, Reset Palettes and Reset Application now work properly.
- On Mountain Lion, the Toolsets palette is shown correctly after changing the value for the COLORSCHEME system variable.
- AutoCAD no longer stops responding when invoking a dialog.
Hardware
- Cursor now remains still when using the Trackpad to pan the drawing.
Install
- On Mountain Lion, the installer no longer needs to be reopened to continue the installation.
- On Mountain Lion, the installer is no longer blocked by Gatekeeper.
Layers
- Layers palette is no longer cut off in some situations.
Performance
- Cursor is no longer slow or does not hesitate after exiting the Block Editor (BCLOSE command) with Dynamic UCS active.
Plot
- AutoCAD no longer hangs for several minutes for some HP Office Pro printers when choosing a paper size in Page Setup dialog.
- On Mountain Lion, the cursor no longer disappears after being moved outside of the Plot dialog when plotting to a PDF file.
- On Lion, in the French (FRA) version, physical plotters now work correctly when plotting.
Views
- AutoCAD no longer hangs when switching between orthographic views.
Zoom/Pan
- Objects no longer disappear after zooming in or out in some situations.
To install this AutoCAD 2012 for Mac Service Pack 3, do the following:
At the command prompt, type _vernum and press Enter to verify the update was installed. The version number should be "F051.M.203".
If it is not installed, download AutoCAD for Mac Service Pack 2 and install it before installing Service Pack 3.
This update replaces files from the original installation of AutoCAD for Mac and cannot be uninstalled separately.
