            Notice to COMPASS 2000/2005V1 Customers

Autodesk has released a tool, called "License Transfer Tool" (LTT), to enable you to acvtivate additional seats in your COMPASS 2000 / COMPASS 2005 V1 licenses.
As of August 15th, 2005 only network licenses for Productstream Compass 2005 can be purchased and will be provided.
Due to this reorganisation in the licensing procedure for COMPASS, licenses for previous versions may only be activated by the License Transfer Tool.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: This tool only applies to COMPASS 2000 V3, COMPASS 2000 V4 and COMPASS 2005 V1 client and server products.

NOTE: Autodesk strongly recommends backing up the COMPASS programs, data and database PRIOR to installing and using this tool.


(1) Download the file "CMPLicenseTransferToolV1.zip"

(2) Unpack the ZIP file
	Extract to the subdirectory "bin" of your COMPASS server (recommended) or to any temporary directory.

(3) Read the Manual for further usage of the tool
	The documentation is located in the subdirectory /LTT_Documentation/<language> of the extracted files, named CMPLTTManual.pdf

(4) Launch the License Transfer Tool via the executable file cmpltt_de.exe or cmpltt_en.exe respectively.
