Project location text in Uppercase
changes to Lowercase in Project Manager on reopening AutoCAD Electrical Hotfix
This hotfix corrects an issue that the user input
uppercase project location text changes to lowercase in Project Manager on
reopening AutoCAD Electrical.
Prerequisites
- You must have AutoCAD®
Electrical 2009 Service Pack 3 installed.
- You will need
administrative privileges.
Note: This hotfix will update all
language versions.
Installation
Instructions
- Exit AutoCAD Electrical
- Download the hotfix: DL15829051.zip
- Find the product
installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2009.
- In this folder,
right-click the WDCOM1.fas file.
- If this file has a
modified date of 2/19/2008 (Feb 19th, 2008), then proceed with this installation.
- If this file has a
modified date of 9/26/2010 (Sep 26th, 2010), then this hotfix has already been applied.
- Rename the original file
for backup.
- In the product
installation folder, right-click the file WDCOM1.fas and rename it
WDCOM1.bak.
- Double-click the
downloaded file.
- Extract WDCOM1.fas to
the product installation folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2009).
- Confirm that the
modified date of the replaced file, WDCOM1.fas, is 9/26/2010 (Sep 26th,
2010).
NOTE: To remove this HOTFIX, delete the new WDCOM1.fas file and rename the file WDCOM1.bak back to its
original name of WDCOM1.fas.
Note for the Existing Projects
- This hotfix
corrects the issue for the new projects only. Refer to the solution below
for correcting your existing projects.
Solution for the
Existing Projects
- Delete LastProj.fil
file, it is located at following folders,
XP: C:\Documents and
Settings\<current user>\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD Electrical
2009\R17.2\enu\Support\User.
Vista: C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD
Electrical 2009\R17.2\enu\Support\User.
Note:
You need to re-open the projects again after performing this
operation as the Project Manager will not list the previously opened projects.
