Drawing set as "For Reference Only" does not work Hotfix

This hotfix repairs a problem that drawing set as "For Reference Only" in the Drawing Properties does not work.

Prerequisites

• You must have AutoCAD® Electrical 2011 Update1 installed.
• You will need administrative privileges.

Note: This hotfix will update all language versions.

Installation Instructions

1. Exit AutoCAD Electrical
2. Download the appropriate hotfix

• For 32 bit operating systems - DL16173494.zip
• For 64 bit operating systems - DL16173494_x64.zip

3. Find the product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2011\Acade.
4. In this folder, right-click the AcePageMan.arx file and select Properties.
5. In Windows XP, click the Version tab, in Windows Vista or Windows 7 click the Details tab. Confirm the file version.

• If this file is version 8.1.0.1, then proceed with this installation.
• If this file is version 8.1.0.6, then this hotfix has already been applied.

6. Goto product installation folder, right click on "AcePageMan.arx" and rename it to "AcePageMan.bak" to retain the original file as backup.
7. Double-click the downloaded file.
8. Extract AcePageMan.arx to the product installation folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2011\Acade)
9. Verify the version of the replaced file by right-clicking on the new AcePageMan.arx file and select Properties. In Windows XP click the Version tab, in Windows Vista or Windows 7 click the Details tab. Confirm this file is version 8.1.0.6.

NOTE: To remove this HOTFIX, delete the new AcePageMan.arx file and the rename the file AcePageMan.bak back to its original name of AcePageMan.arx.
