Step 1:
Download the Help Installer (exe) and run Autodesk_Simulation_CFD_2014_Help.exe
The Simulation CFD Local Help installs by default to:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Simulation CFD 2014\SimCFDHelp
or
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Simulation CFD 2014 360\SimCFDHelp
(If you are using Simulation CFD 360).
Step 2:
Download the file called SimCFDHelpIds.xml, and copy into the Simulation CFD installation folder.
By default, the installation folder is one of the following, but yours may be different:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation CFD 2014
or
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Simulation CFD 2014 360
You may need administrator help to overwrite this file.
Step 3:
After running the Help Installer, set the value of the flag called use_local_help to 1 using the Flag Manager in Simulation CFD. This flag causes the locally installed documentation to open when you click a dialog box context help icon or F1 in the ribbon.
To set this flag:
1. Start Simulation CFD. Open the Flag Manager by clicking Flags from the Start & Learn (tab) > Launch (panel) drop-down menu.
2. On the Flag Manager, click Default flag settings.
3. In the Search field, enter use_local_help.
4. In the flag list, check the box adjacent to the use_local_help flag, and change the value to 1.
5. Click Apply.
To access the on-line help, change the value of the use_local_help flag back to 0.
