The Combustion 4.0.1 for Microsoft Windows Updater is now available for download at the Autodesk Media & Entertainment support download web site. After you have installed and registered Combustion 4 software, please make sure to download and install the Combustion 4.0.1 Updater.

Notes About Installation

Install the Combustion 4.0.1 Updater over the Combustion 4 software.

 

 

Issues Addressed

The following describes the issues addressed by this release.

 

Paint

·         Polygon control points are no longer inversed after the workspace is saved and reopened.

·         There is no longer a major lag in response time when using Paint tools.

·         Toggling between stroked and filled modes in text and applying softness to shadow no longer creates artifacts.

·         Effects applied to grouped Paint objects no longer create artifacts when the objects overlap within the group.

·         The Text outline is no longer applied to the Text shadow.

 

Capsules

·         You can now save Combustion workspace files after adding, copying and pasting Capsules via the Workspace panel.

·         You can no longer break a Capsule’s main input connection or delete its output node.

·         You can now continue working in Combustion after copying and pasting a composite node within a Capsule.

 

Wiretap

·         Combustion can now read 10 and 12-bit media from a Wiretap server.

·         You can now open a workspace containing footage from a Wiretap server.

·         The Wiretap path displayed in the file browser now shows the correct information.

 

Timeline

·         There is no longer a major lag in response time when selecting or deleting keyframes in the Timeline.

·         Keyframes in the Timeline graph no longer get deselected after applying Math Operations.

 

Tracker

·         The Tracker now works as expected in OpenGL.

·         The initial keyframe set at the last frame when tracking in reverse is no longer missing.

 

Miscellaneous

·         Combustion can now use a larger than 2 GB virtual address space. To enable the 4 GT RAM tuning, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/memory/base/4gt_ram_tuning.asp.

·         16-bit compressed Maya® IFF files are now supported by Combustion.

·         You can now continue working in Combustion after double-clicking operators in Schematic view during playback.

·         You can now save workspaces with reordered branches.

·         The order of the layers no longer gets inversed after deleting and undoing the deletion of layers.
