Autodesk® Civil 3D® 2006 -
Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility

 

The Autodesk® Civil 3D® 2006 - Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility lets you convert all Land Desktop points in a drawing to Civil 3D points.

Installation Requirements

Before you can successfully install and use this utility, you must have the following installed on your computer:

Once these components are installed, if you have a currently open drawing that contains at least one Autodesk Land Desktop point, you can run the Autodesk Civil 3D 2006 - Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility. If you try to run this utility when the currently open drawing contains no Land Desktop points, the following message is displayed: No Land Desktop Points were found in the drawing.

Installation Instructions

To install the Autodesk Civil 3D - Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility:

  1. Make sure Autodesk Civil 3D is not running on your computer.
  2. From the Autodesk Civil 3D Product Support website (Data and Downloads), double-click the file C3D_LDT_PointConversion.exe. This automatically installs the Autodesk Civil 3D - Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility onto your computer.


Using the Autodesk Civil 3D 2006 - Land Desktop Point Conversion Utility

To launch this utility, you must have a drawing open that contains at least one Land Desktop point. If you try to launch this utility when the currently open drawing contains no Land Desktop points, the following message displays: No Land Desktop Points were found in the drawing.

If the currently open drawing contains at least one Land Desktop point, you can access the Point Conversion Utility by entering ConvertLDTPoints at the Autodesk Civil 3D command line. When you do this, the Convert Land Desktop Points dialog box displays. Click the Help button on this dialog box for information on how to use this utility.

NOTE: For information on how to add this command to a menu or toolbar, see Customize the User Interface in the AutoCAD Help's Customization Guide. For example, you may want to add this command to the Utilities submenu under the Points menu.
