Revit 2013 Hotfix

Description of Problem

This hotfix improves product instability when inserting Spot Elevations within Sections.

Note: You must apply the most recent update to a Revit 2013 product, Revit 2013 Update Release 3, before attempting to apply this hotfix.

Installation Instructions

NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system to complete the installation process.

NOTE: You must have Autodesk Revit 2013 Update 3 installed on the system in order to apply this hotfix.

To Install the Hotfix on Revit

For each instance of Revit:

1. Shut down Revit.
2. Download the Revit2013_SpotElev_Hotfix.zip to a local folder.
3. Extract the files within the Revit2013_SpotElev_Hotfix.zip to a local folder.
4. Run the installer with corresponds to the bit version of your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system, 64bit vs. 32bit.
• 64bit: Revit2013_SpotElev_Hotfix_x64.msi
• 32bit: Revit2013_SpotElev_Hotfix_x86.msi
5. Install is quite brief and the install dialog will disappear once complete.

 

To Verify the Hotfix has been applied

From Programs and Features within the Windows Control Panel an entry for “Spot Elevation Hotfix” will be seen within the list of Programs.
