Description of the issue:

When re-indexing properties of a vault containing a large number of (DWG) files, it's possible to reach the maximum number of GDI handles that can be open in a process. If this happens, Vault Manager crashes.

The problem here is a GDI Handle leak within the DWGFilt.dll module, which extracts properties from DWG files.

Autodesk Vault (Data Management Server) 4 - Service Pack 2

To check whether this hotfix has already been applied, find the file DWGFilt.dll, located in the c:\program files\autodesk\data management server 4\server\components directory (in a default installation). The version of the patched file is 10.2.5.0.

Installation Instructions:

[Installation instructions -- start with "download the hotfix"]
1) Download the hotfix patch (Vault_R4_server_TS1053497.exe) to a location on the server
2) Stop the Vault Server Web Service (using Vault Manager)
3) Run the patch to update the DWGFilt.dll
4) Restart the Web Service (using Vault Manager)
