Notice to Autodesk Productstream Customers

In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this hotfix which addresses an issue with installing the Vault client for Mechanical Desktop.  This README file highlights how to install this hotfix, and other important information regarding this update.

Description of the issue:

It has been found that the Productstream addin for Mechanical Desktop (MDT) will not install on a machine that has Mechanical Desktop installed from the AIPS (Analysis and Simulation) or the AIPR (Routed Systems) DVD/CD.

System Requirements:

A machine that has Mechanical Desktop previously installed on it.

Warnings:
======================================

This hotfix should only be applied to systems with Autodesk Mechanical Desktop installed from either AIPR(Routed Systesm) or AIPS(Analysis and Simulation). This is the only issue for which this hotfix has been created to address.

Installation Instructions:
======================================

1)  Copy the "Client" folder(bin\acadfeui\productstream\Client) from the DVD or CD and paste it to a temporary location on the client machine.

2)  Double-click the downloaded exe and unzip the included files to a temporary folder on the client machine.

3)  Copy and paste the "Setup.ini" file and the "EDM" folder from the downloaded exe to the "Client" folder that was pasted in step 1.  This will replace both the "Setup.ini" and the "EDM" folder on this machine.

4)  Run "Setup.exe" from the copied "Client" folder.
