In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this hotfix which addresses an issue with managing HTML files in the Vault.   This README file highlights how to install this hotfix, and other important information regarding this update.

Description of the issue:
======================================

The error message "Object Reference Not Set To an Instance of an Object" occurs when a checkout or Getlatestversion is attempted. This hotfix addresses this problem specifically. If you apply this hotfix and the problem persists, then please be sure to check the timeout values specified in the web.config file located in the following folder on the Vault server machine (where Autodesk Data Management Server 4 is installed):

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Data Management Server 4\Server\Web\Services

To modify the timeout values in the web.config, open the file in Notepad and look for the following:

   <defaultSqlTimeoutSecs value="100" />
   <longSqlTimeoutSecs value="120" />

Increase the values for defaultSqltTimeoutSecs and longSqlTimeoutSecs values from 100 and 120 to to a larger time out value (ex. 1000 for defaultSqlTimeoutSecs and 1200 for longSqlTimeoutSecs).

Autodesk Vault 4 Service Pack 2

Warnings:

This hotfix should only be applied to client systems with Autodesk Vault 4 Service Pack 2 installed. This is the only issue for which this hotfix has been created to address.

Installation Instructions:
======================================

1. Download the hotfix.
2. Double-click on the exe to install the hotfix.

Note: Service Pack 2 for Vault 4 must be installed before installing this hotfix. This hotfix is only applicable to the client machines, not the Vault server machine.
