Building Systems 2007.1 Electrical Performance Hotfix

This Readme contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this Hotfix.  It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the Hotfix to your product. For your reference, you should save this Readme to your hard drive or print a copy.

Who Should Install the Hotfix?

Electrical Performance Hotfix applies to English versions of the following Autodesk product(s):

  • Autodesk Building Systems 2007.1

Note: Specific regions may release language-specific (localized) service pack executables.

Summary of the Primary Building Systems Issues Resolved by the Hotfix

  • The performance delays noticed when Opening and Saving a drawing connected to an Electrical Project Database which contains large number of Panels and Circuits has been improved to be similar to a drawing not connected to an Electrical Project Database
  • The performance delays noticed when add Wire to Devices in a drawing connected to an Electrical Project Database which contains large number of Panels and Circuits has been improved to be similar to a drawing not connected to an Electrical Project Database
  • The performance delays noticed when opening Electrical Properties worksheet of a Device within the Properties Palette in a drawing connected to an Electrical Project Database which contains large number of Panels and Circuits has been improved to be similar to a drawing not connected to an Electrical Project Database
  •  Panel name and Last used Circuit are retained in the Properties Palette when adding Wires to Devices.  

 

Apply this Hotfix to your Installation

  1. Download the ABS2007_1Hotfix.zip and save it to any folder.
  2. Navigate to the folder where you saved the Hotfix zip file.
  3. Extract the files within the zip into the ABS 2007.1 installation location.  Default install location is: C:\Program Files\Autodesk Building Systems 2007.
  4. Overwrite existing file when prompted.

Note: We recommend that the original files found within the ABS 2007.1 installation location are backed-up prior to extracting the files contained within the ABS2007_1Hotfix.zip.
