It is recommended that you
back up all custom CUI, MNU, MNS, MNR, MNL, and MNC files before installing
this Service Pack.
During the installation of
this Service Pack, you may be prompted for the original installation CD, DVD,
or network image. Please be sure to have the original installation media on
hand when you run the patch.
This Service Pack must be
installed by a user with Administrative Privileges. The installation process
will stop with an error message if it was attempted by a user without
Administrative Privileges.
Once this Service Pack is
applied, you cannot run an automatic uninstall to remove the Service Pack. To
undo the Service Pack changes, uninstall and reinstall Building Systems 2007.1.
A Group Policy Object
cannot be created to roll out this Service Pack to clients that have already
installed Building Systems. This Service Pack must be applied directly to every
machine by an administrator of the machine.

- Insert the Building Systems 2007.1 CD 1 or DVD into
your CD/DVD drive.
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the Service
Pack.

You can use Communication Center to apply this service pack
through your local network. Detailed instructions on how to set up patching
through your local network are listed in the Communication Center
tab of the CAD Manager Control Utility help.
Note: The CAD Manager Control Utility can
be installed from the product installation media by selecting Network Deployment
and then selecting the Autodesk CAD Manager Tools 4.0 link in the Media
Browser.
The following two methods
of distributing Building Systems 2007.1 Service Pack 1 apply only to
administrative images created with the Building Systems 2007.1 Network
Installation Wizard. After you complete these procedures, any new deployments
of Building Systems 2007.1 will have the Service Pack applied to them
automatically.
NOTE: Clients that have installed the
original deployment MUST install the Service Pack before the deployment
can be patched. It is not possible to patch clients after an administrative
image has been patched. If you are unable to update all previously
installed clients prior to adding this Service Pack to the administrative
image, we recommend that a separate administrative image be created with this
Service Pack applied.
NOTE: In both of the following
procedures, the patch (Service Pack) file that you download contains an MSP
(Microsoft Patch) file, which you extract from the executable file using the /e
(extract) switch; see step 2 for the syntax.
