In our continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released AutoCAD_PNID2009_Audit_Hotfix1. This hotfix addresses an issue where the Audit command removes graphics and data from P&ID drawings. This README file explains how to install this update and provides other important information.

Description of the issues:
=========================

The AutoCAD P&ID 2009 AUDIT command causes P&ID data to be deleted or changed. In some instances, P&ID SLINE entities are removed from the drawing if the audit detects that they are orphaned from a line group. When the SLINE entity is erased, all connected inline assets are also erased.

NOTE: This is the AutoCAD drawing audit that is run from the command line. It is not the P&ID project audit that is run by right-clicking on the project in the Project Manager dialog box.

This hotfix corrects these Audit command issues.

Installation Instructions:
==========================

IMPORTANT! This hotfix is only applicable to AutoCAD P&ID 2009.

Before you begin:

Verify your product version. If the build version is higher than “Build: K.34.0”, this hotfix has already been installed.
    - Open AutoCAD P&ID 2009. 
    - Type “_plantver” at the command line.
    - Check the build version. 
    - Close AutoCAD P&ID 2009.

To install the hotfix:

1. Locate your product installation folder 
    (by default C:\Program Files\AutoCAD PID 2009).

2. In this folder, rename following files: 
    PnIDGUIUtilMgd.dll  to  PnIDGUIUtilMgd.bak 
    PnIDObjects.dbx     to  PnIDObjects.bak
    PnIdUICmds.arx      to  PnIdUICmds.bak  

3. Download one of the following:
    - For 32 bit Windows operating systems: AutoCAD_PNID2009_Audit_Hotfix1_x32.zip 
    - For 64 bit Windows operating systems: AutoCAD_PNID2009_Audit_Hotfix1_x64.zip 

NOTE: The install does not verify which operating system you are running. Make sure you install the right version.

4. Extract all files to the product installation folder found in Step 1.
