When you apply this extension while running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011, it is recommended that you do not click the "Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete" option. Instead, close AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 manually, and press "Ignore" at the prompt. It is also recommended that you reboot your system after installing the extension.

• Check alignment geometry – enables users to check alignment geometry for tangency conditions, and automatically fix inconsistencies.
• Show / Hide Labels – enables users to show and hide all Civil 3D labels.
• Surface high / Low points – enables users to automatically generate Civil 3D points at surface high/low points.
• Export Civil Data (to survey formats – RD5 and TP5) – enables users to export Civil 3D alignments, profiles, and corridors to a TDS .rd5 roadway file and/or .tp5 template file.
• Import Raw Data (imports Star*Net data) – enables users to import a Star*Net .dat file.
• Create surface from photogrammetric data – provides a simple import functionality for surface creation from layer based AutoCAD 3D linework and points (lines, arcs, polylines, and point entities residing on user selected layers). Additionally, the utility allows users to append AutoCAD entities to an existing surface.

As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:

Back Up Custom Files

It is recommended that you back up all custom CUI, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this extension.

Administrative Privileges

During installation, you will be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. In order to apply this extension, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.

Reboot

After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

Follow these instructions to install this extension.

1. Download the extension and save it to any folder.
2. If required, insert the product media (for example, the AutoCAD Civil 3D installation disc).
3. Find the folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (EXE) file.

Important: You cannot run an automatic uninstall to remove this extension. To restore your version of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 to its original state, uninstall AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and reinstall it.
