  • Microsoft^® Windows^® XP Professional (SP2 or later)
• Microsoft^® Internet Explorer^® 8 or later, most recent version of Mozilla Firefox™ 3.6.3 or later, or Google Chrome 5.0 or later
• 800 MHz or faster 64-bit (x64) (faster processor recommended)
• 2 GB RAM (4 GB RAM recommended)
• 20 MB free disk space for installation
• 1024 x 768 VGA or higher recommended
• Mouse, trackball, or compatible pointing device

Programs That Can Use DWF Writer for 2D (64-bit)

You can use DWF Writer for 2D to create DWF and DWFx files from any Windows program. Users of Autodesk programs (including AutoCAD based products, Inventor and Revit) should use the built-in DWF publishing capabilities to create DWF files.

The following programs have been tested with DWF Writer for 2D:

• Adobe^® Acrobat^® 9
• Bentley MicroStation V8i
• Google Chrome 5.0
• Microsoft^® Excel^® 2007, 2010
• Microsoft^® Internet Explorer^® 7, 8
• Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® 2007, 2010
• Microsoft^® Word 2007, 2010
• Mozilla Firefox™ 3.6.3

Known Issues for DWF Writer for 2D (64-bit)

• DWF Writer does not support simultaneous instances. Using the DWF Writer for 2D to print DWF files or to modify DWF Settings in two or more programs may cause unexpected results. Solution: Perform DWF-related actions one at a time.
• In DWF Settings, embedding fonts does not work.
• From a Web browser, printing a webpage as a DWF file may produce undesired layout and color results.
• When using Mozilla Firefox, besides Output Types, Orientation, and Display in Autodesk Design Review, modified DWF Settings are not retained.
• When using Google Chrome, besides Output Types and Display in Autodesk Design Review, modified DWF Settings are not retained.
• In DWF Settings, user-defined Paper Size is not preserved when printing a DWF file from Microsoft Office 2010.
• In DWF Settings, changing the Color option to Monochrome changes the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 program's printer settings to Grayscale instead of Pure Black and White.
• When using Microsoft Word 2010, modified Paper Size and Orientation DWF Settings are not retained.
• In DWF Settings, Paper Size and Orientation settings can conflict with similar settings in some applications, causing undesired output in the resulting DWF file.
