Thank you for downloading Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2012 Service Pack 1.
This readme contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this update. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply this update to your product. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

Service
Pack 1 is for Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2012, in
all languages, running on all supported operating systems. Service Pack 1 can
be applied to the following versions of product. Be sure to install the correct
update for your software.

Administrator 2012:
If you apply the Autodesk Infrastructure Studio update while running Autodesk Infrastructure Studio, it is recommended that you do not click the "Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete" option. Instead, close Autodesk Infrastructure Studio manually, and press “Ignore” at the prompt. It is also recommended that you reboot your system after installing the update.

GetPlot() is now able to support Raster
data.
Feature Selection
·
Easier
selection involving point features containing font or symbol definition styles
on re-projected layers.
FDO SHP
·
SHP
files with index files (IDX file) that are not in sync with the SHP file will
now show correct features in Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server.
Flexible Web Layout
·
Query
results will no longer include the features filtered out by the filter rule set
in the Layer Editor.
·
The
fusion measure widget now returns the correct results for non-geographic
coordinate systems.
·
Multiple
base layer groups are now able to be completely displayed.
KML Export
·
Point
styles defined in Autodesk Infrastructure Map Serve are now properly exported
to KML. KML files can be used in applications that support KML, such as, Google
Earth.
Quick
Plot
·
There is no longer an error dialog shown
when generating a plot on a German localized version of Autodesk Infrastructure
Map Server.
Thread
Safe
·
Threading issues related to coordinate
system transformations, MDF model parser and layer serialization have been
corrected.
Vector Symbolization
·
Symbol definitions can now be loaded from a
repository folder whose name is the prefix of another folder name.
As you prepare to install Service Pack 1, keep the following in mind:
Backup Repositories
Administrators should back up the current installations and repositories as per best practice.

Stop Services
Administrators should close all applications especially any Map Server related services e.g. Infrastructure Map Server Service and IIS/Apache/Tomcat before applying the update.
Administrative Privileges
In order to apply the update, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.
Reboot
After installation, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.
From the Product Support website, download the appropriate update files
for your operating system. Copy the update files into a temporary folder on
your computer and run the files as described below.
Note: The Windows update is simply an update to
a subset of files. The Linux update is a full install.
Installing the Server/Web/Application Extension Update on Windows
1. Download the following update files and save to any folder:
3. Run the update files that you
downloaded in step 1.
5. Restart your services and connect to the Infrastructure Map Server Site Administrator to confirm things are working.
Installing
the Server/Web/FDO Update on Linux
1.
Download the update files and save them to any folder like /tmp:
Note: Make
sure that you download and install the correct Server and Web Extension update
files for your language, e.g. German, Japanese, French, etc. For example, if
you are using the German version of Infrastructure Map Server, you should download the files infrastructuremapserver2012deu-server-2.3.0.5001-1.i386.rpm and
infrastructuremapserver2012deu-webextension-2.3.0.5001-1.i386. The
FDO update file is not language-specific.
2. Stop the Infrastructure
Map Server 2012 Service, the Apache Server and the Tomcat Server if applicable.

Backup the Repositories folder from the /opt/Autodesk/Autodesk
Infrastructure Map Server 2012/ folder
to another directory outside the Autodesk subdirectories such as /tmp. The
new install should not overwrite the current repository, but the backup is just
a precaution.
4. Confirm the version of Infrastructure Map Server installed by
executing:
rpm -qa | grep mapserver
5. Uninstall the Infrastructure Web Server Extension by executing:
rpm -e infrastructuremapserver2012-webextension-2.3.0.4305-1
6. Uninstall the Infrastructure Map Server by executing:
rpm -e
infrastructuremapserver2012-server-2.3.0.4305-1

Navigate to /usr/local/fdo-3.6.0 and
uninstall FDO by executing:

Navigate to the folder where the new install files were copied to.
10. cd to the
fdo-3.6.0.10901-1 folder and execute:

To extract the Server and Web Extension files execute the following:
./
infrastructuremapserver2012-webextension-2.3.0.5001-1.i386-rpm.bin
Enter ‘Yes’
when prompted to accept the license agreements.
12. To install the Server execute the following:
rpm -ivh infrastructuremapserver2012-server-2.3.0.5001-1.i386-rpm
13. To install the Web Extensions execute the following:

Replace any overwritten configuration files as outlined
in previous section.
Installing the
Studio Update on Windows
1. Download the update file and save it to
any folder.
3. Run
the update file you downloaded in Step 1.
4. Restart Autodesk Infrastructure Studio 2012.
Installing the Administrator 2012
Update on Windows
1. Download the update file and save it to
any folder.
3. Run
the update file you downloaded in Step 1.
4. Restart Autodesk Infrastructure
Administrator 2012.
The
Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2012 Service Pack 1 cannot be uninstalled.
In order to return to the original state of the application you must uninstall
Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2012 and reinstall it.
