• This tool allows users to view native Autodesk Inventor 2013 CAD data.
• Install only the bit-type version of Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone corresponding to the bit-type version of your operating system.
• .NET 4.0 is required for the installation of Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone. If .NET 4.0 is not present on your system, use the installer located on the source media under "…\3rdParty\NET\4\wcu\dotNetFramework\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe".

• Inventor View 2013 standalone supports Windows XP 32bit SP3, Windows XP 64bit SP2, Win7 32 bit & Win7 64 bit. If your operating system does not meet these requirements, please update it before attempting the installation.
• Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone.
• The 32-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone is approximately 500 MB in size. A minimum of 1100 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.
• The 64-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone is approximately 800 MB in size. A minimum of 1400 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.

Before you begin...

1. Install Microsoft .NET 4.0 if not already present.
2. Install all Windows Updates that are pending on your machine and reboot:

Windows XP: Use the Windows Update utility located in the Control Panel.

Windows 7: Windows Update is located in the Control Panel, and on the sidebar.

It is sometimes necessary to perform Windows Update multiple times to completely update your operating system.

3. Verify that enough disk space is available on your machine to install Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone.

To install the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2013:

1. Download the appropriate version, either 32-bit or 64-bit, depending upon the bit type of your operating system.
2. Double click on the self-extracting executable to unpack and initiate the installer.
3. Follow the installer prompts and when done, click Finish.
4. If required, reboot the system after the installation is finished.

To verify the installation was successful, start Autodesk Inventor View 2013 standalone. On the Help menu, select About Inventor View... If the About box displays: Build: 126, Release: 2013, the installation was successful.
