The AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Client Update for Autodesk Vault 2012 enables Vault functionality for use within the AutoCAD 3D 2011 application to connect to a Vault 2012 server. This update can be applied only to versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 with update 2 installed and running on English-language and non-English-language operating systems.

• Autodesk Vault Professional 2012

• The AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Client Update for Autodesk Vault 2012 can only be applied to versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 with Update 2 installed. If you do not have Update 2 installed you will receive an error message when attempting to install this update.
• The AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Client Update for Autodesk Vault 2012 cannot be added to a deployment. This support patch can only be installed on individual machines.

• As an alternative to installing this Update, you can maintain two separate servers, one for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and ADMS 2011 and another for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and ADMS 2012.
• After applying this Update it is recommended that you keep two separate Vault stores (one for 2011 projects and one for 2012 projects) to avoid accidentally opening and saving drawing files in the wrong version of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• To reinstate support for ADMS 2011, you will need to uninstall AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and then reinstall AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 with Update 2.

To successfully install the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Client Update for Autodesk Vault 2012, please complete the following steps in this order:

1. Uninstall Autodesk Vault Client 2011.
2. Uninstall Autodesk Design Review 2011.
3. Install Vault 2012 Client for AutoCAD 2011.
4. Install AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Client Update for Autodesk Vault 2012.

NOTE: AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Update 2 is required before install this Update. Please make sure AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 have been updated to the latest version.
