Issues Resolved by This Update: Issue #1, Cannot apply a downloaded language pack to the Autodesk Content Service 2013
Issue
After installing an AutoCAD 2013 Language pack on any installed AutoCAD 2013 (for example, Spanish AutoCAD 2013 Language pack on English AutoCAD 2013), Autodesk Content Explorer fails to work. No watched folders are displayed, and the user is warned with the ‘IndexingServiceError.LocaleMismatch.’ error. The following installations will be affected:
- Autodesk Product and Suites installations that have applied a post-install language pack (for language switching support).
- Autodesk Suite Installations that want to install the Autodesk Content Service 2013 as a standalone version from Tools & Utilities to apply a language pack at install time.
Solution
Download the Autodesk Content Service 2013 installer hotfix (contentserviceinstaller_multilingual.zip). The installer will allow the user to select which language of the content service they would like installed. This can be used for all install types listed above. After the installation finishes, restart the system. If for any reason, there is a Client/Service language mismatch, please uninstall the service, delete the existing index, and reinstall the needed language to resolve the issue.

Issues Resolved by This Update: Issue #2, Autodesk Content Service 2013 non-English installations from Tools & Utilities are causing a Service Error Local Mismatch
Issue
During installation of the Autodesk Content Service 2013 from Tools & Utilities, when a non-English language is selected using the language selection drop-down as a standalone version, Autodesk Content Service 2013 fails to work. The user is warned with the ‘IndexingServiceError.LocaleMismatch.’ error. The following installations will be affected:
- All localized Autodesk Product and Suites installations for the Autodesk Content Service 2013 from the Tools & Utilities
- Current Autodesk 2012 standalone localized installs of the Content Service that wish to migrate to Autodesk Content Service 2013
Solution
For new installations of the Autodesk Content Service 2013, delete the index, and restart the service. The client and service mismatch will be resolved.
For existing installations that are migrating from a localized standalone Autodesk Content Service 2012 to a localized standalone Autodesk Content Service 2013, you will need to do one of the following:
- Recommended - Instead of installing from the install media, please download the Autodesk Content Service 2013 installer hotfix (contentserviceinstaller_multilingual.zip), and use it to migrate to the latest version. This will preserve the existing watch folders that have been previously indexed. After the installation finishes, restart the system.
- If installing from the install media, stop the content service, delete the existing index, and then restart the service. The client and service will begin to communicate correctly. NOTE: by doing this, users will have to re-index all of their watch folders again.
