Notice to Autodesk Simulation DFM Customers: DL21037923 Released

In our continuing efforts to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released hotfix DL21037923, which addresses a licensing issue while keyboard is set to Windows IME Japanese layout.

This document contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this update. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the update to your product. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

We had a problem with sending a message to the correct window, as Windows IME layout opens a hidden window in every live process. That caused the system to "confuse" it with the licensing process window.

This hotfix should only be applied to systems directly affected by the issue described above, as this was the only issue this hotfix was created to address.

For application of this hotfix, your system must have the following product installed:

This hotfix is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions (downloaded together as one bundle) and is only applicable to Autodesk Simulation DFM 2013. Once installed, it will appear as an update under Add/Remove Programs and can be uninstalled from there.

  1. Download Hotfix dfm_Hotfix-DL21037923-DFM.zip for Autodesk Simulation DFM 2013.
  2. Extract dfm_Hotfix-DL21037923-DFM-32bit.msp and dfm_Hotfix-DL21037923-DFM-64bit.msp from the zip file downloaded in step 1.
  3. Double-click on the appropriate .msp file (32-bit or 64-bit) to install this hotfix on each system running Autodesk Simulation DFM 2013.
