DL18480860 - Vault 2012 - Multi Issue Hotfix
In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this hotfix which provides the following updates;
When performing a 'remove' Groups or Users operation in Configure Lifecycle Security a permission denied error is thrown (Error 303).
A Property Compliance Equivalence Error could not be resolved.
Preventing the loss of file dependencies as a result of a purge operation.
A Copy Design update.

Description of the Issues
- When multiple security settings are enabled on a folder, the settings would incorrectly prevent a user from performing a state change on a file.
- Error handling for Property Compliance Equivalence has been improved to avoid some instances of noncompliance.
- Performing a purge operation in some instances resulted in a loss of file dependencies.
- When selecting a different copy design folder, the error “the given key was not present in the dictionary” was thrown and a user could not continue.

It is strongly recommended to perform a back up prior to the application of this update.
This hotfix cannot be uninstalled. To revert to a pre hotfix state, the application must be reinstalled and a pre hotfix back up must be restored.

The updated Connectivity.Vault.dll and Connectivity.Application.VaultManager.dll files are version 16.1.58.130.
The updated Connectivity.Platform.dll file is version 16.1.58.120.
Installation Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions properly may result in unusable sites.
NOTE: Always ensure that a successful backup has been performed before applying any hotfixes.
SINGLE SITE
Hotfix Installation
- Reset the web service on the Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS) by typing 'iisreset' at a command prompt.
- Run DL18480860.msp on the server to install the hotfix.
- Open the ADMS Console and migrate all unmigrated databases and libraries before proceeding.
- NOTE: It may be necessary to detach an unmigrated database if the update addresses a migration problem.
- Close the ADMS Console application.
Database Update
- Open a command prompt and navigate to the installed location of Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe.
- Run ADMS b2bmigrate operation in command line mode:
- Example: Connectivity.ADMSConsole.Exe -Ob2bmigrate -VUadministrator -VPadmin_password -DBUsql_user -DBPsql_password
- NOTE: Replace 'admin_password' with the appropriate administrator password for the -VP switch.
- The last two command line parameters are required only if the 'sa' password is not the default password.
- A 'migration successful' dialog will display when the b2bmigrate operation has completed.
- If necessary, open ADMS Console and attach any previously detached databases.
Rebuild Search Indexes – applied on every Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS).
- Open the Autodesk Data Management Server console and begin a Rebuild Search Indexes.
MULTI SITE (file replication)
Hotfix Installation – applied to every Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS).
- Reset the web service by typing 'iisreset' at a server command prompt.
- Run DL18480860.msp on an ADMS server to install the hotfix.
- Repeat the preceding steps for every ADMS server.
- Open one ADMS Console and migrate all unmigrated databases and libraries before proceeding.
- NOTE: It may be necessary to detach an unmigrated database if the update addresses a migration problem.
- Close the ADMS Console application.
Database Update – applied ONCE from ONE Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS).
- WARNING: DO NOT PROCEED until the hotfix has been successfully applied on ALL ADMS servers.
- Open a command prompt and navigate to the installed location of Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe.
- Run ADMS b2bmigrate operation in command line mode:
- Example: Connectivity.ADMSConsole.Exe -Ob2bmigrate -VUadministrator -VPadmin_password -DBUsql_user -DBPsql_password
- NOTE: Replace 'admin_password' with the appropriate administrator password for the -VP switch.
- The last two command line parameters are required only if the 'sa' password is not the default password.

CONNECTED WORKGROUP (file and SQL replication)
Hotfix Installation – applied to every Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS) in all workgroups.
- Reset the web service by typing 'iisreset' at a server command prompt.
- Run DL18480860.msp on an ADMS server to install the hotfix.
- Repeat the preceding steps for every ADMS server in all workgroups.
- Open one ADMS Console on the Publisher workgroup and migrate all unmigrated databases and libraries before proceeding.
- NOTE: It may be necessary to detach an unmigrated database if the update addresses a migration problem.
- Close the ADMS Console application.
Database Update – applied ONCE from one Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS) on the Publisher workgroup ONLY.
- WARNING: DO NOT PROCEED until the hotfix has been successfully applied on ALL ADMS servers in all workgroups.
- Ensure that all workgroups are online and accessible before proceeding. Do not proceed until the Replication Status | Merge Information dialog
shows "Waiting 60 second(s) before polling for further changes." for each replicated vault and library.
- Open a command prompt and navigate to the installed location of Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe.
- Run ADMS b2bmigrate operation in command line mode:
- Example: Connectivity.ADMSConsole.Exe -Ob2bmigrate -VUadministrator -VPadmin_password -DBUsql_user -DBPsql_password
- NOTE: Replace 'admin_password' with the appropriate administrator password for the -VP switch.
- The last two command line parameters are required only if the 'sa' password is not the default password.
- A 'migration successful' dialog will display when the b2bmigrate operation has completed.
- NOTE: A successful migration may take some time as the database updates must be consumed by the subscriber workgroups.
- If necessary, open ADMS Console and attach any previously detached databases.
Rebuild Search Indexes – applied on every Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS).
- Open the Autodesk Data Management Server console and begin a Rebuild Search Indexes.
