Autodesk®
In
a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk Factory Design Suite
2012 Service Packs 1 fixes, or otherwise addresses, a variety of issues. This
document describes what are fixed and what existing known issues are.
The service packs
includes Autodesk Factory Design Utilities for Inventor 2012 SP1 and Autodesk
Factory Design Utilities for AutoCAD 2012 SP1. They apply to every edition of
Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2012; Standard, Premium and Ultimate. The service
packs can be applied to any language version of Autodesk Factory Design Suite
2012.

Abbreviations used:
·
CER refers to a Customer
Error Report.
·
NG refers to an item
reported on the Autodesk Newsgroups.
·
The Smart Connection for
cloud assets is not supported when opening an Inventor Factory layout assembly
created from 2011 Update Pack 1 in Autodesk Inventor 2012.
·
CER: Inventor exits
unexpectedly when clicking the Asset Builder command.
·
CER: Inventor exits unexpectedly when clicking the
Asset Browser after republishing an asset with a modified connector.
·
NG: Resolve dialog box
appears when placing assets from a network library location.
·
Search function in the
Asset Browser fails or causes Inventor to terminate unexpectedly when the
network is unstable.
·
Download Failed dialog
box appears several times when the cloud server connection is unavailable.
·
New instance cannot be
created and machine kit fails when using an unselected asset to connect other
assets.
·
After canceling the Edit
Block Definition dialog box, the Factory ribbon tab commands may become
disabled.
·
AutoCAD Mechanical or
AutoCAD Architecture may exit unexpectedly due to cloud assets being locked in
Inventor.
·
Under Analyzing status,
the Analysis process cannot be closed when switching from one dwg file to
another dwg file using the Launchpad or the
Create/Update DWG command.
·
CER: When Analyze is
invoked, numerous undo operations may cause AutoCAD Mechanical or AutoCAD
Architecture to terminate unexpectedly.
·
AutoCAD Mechanical
terminates unexpectedly when selecting Factory data in some specific files.
·
Cloud Assets always
display in English from the Asset Browser in the localized versions of AutoCAD
Mechanical or AutoCAD Architecture.
·
Selecting a station as a
’component’ in AutoCAD
Mechanical 2012 may result in the Analysis functionality not working.
·
We recommend that you do
not use the Array commands in AutoCAD Mechanical or AutoCAD Architecture with
Stations to avoid an unexpected program termination.
