Autodesk®
In a continuing
effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2012 Service
Pack 2 fixes, or otherwise addresses, a variety of issues. This document
describes how to install the service pack and what is fixed.

·
The Service Pack is
cumulative and contains all the changes made in Service Pack 1. You do not need
to install Service Pack 1 before installing this Service Pack.
·
The Service Pack contains
updates to only the Factory Design Utilities, independently of any platform
product Service Packs.
·
The Service Pack
includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions (downloaded together as one bundle).
·
The Service Pack can be applied
to every edition of Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2012: Standard, Premium and
Ultimate.
·
The Service Pack can be
applied to any language version of Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2012.
Abbreviations used:
·
CER refers to a Customer
Error Report.
·
NG refers to an item
reported on the Autodesk Newsgroups.
·
Republishing an asset
with the same name fails.
·
CER: When adding custom
connectors to assets by Connector Property Class, if no connector attributes
are defined for the parameters, placing the asset causes Inventor to terminate
unexpectedly.
·
Customized User Commands
are not retained in the Ribbon bar after restarting Inventor.
·
Some categories of local
and Cloud-based assets are the same but translated into different words.
·
If you create a new
asset based on a Cloud-based asset, the connector class does not work.
·
Publish fails when publishing
the asset with a 3rd-party link that cannot be found.
·
After republish, old
invalid OLE links are not removed.
·
CER: Unexpected
termination occurred in ribbon search command of AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD
Architecture. (Note: Only resolved in English
version)
·
CER: ‘Send to Inventor’
operation may result in an unexpected termination of Inventor, especially when
Cloud-based assets are downloaded in AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD
Architecture, but not in Inventor.
·
CER: When Analyze is
invoked, numerous undo operations may cause AutoCAD Mechanical or AutoCAD
Architecture to terminate unexpectedly.
·
CER: AutoCAD Architecture
occasionally encounters an unexpected termination when deleting a station in
the graphics window.
·
Array commands in
AutoCAD Mechanical or AutoCAD Architecture with stations causes an unexpected
program termination.
·
The latest opened files
do not show in the 'Recent Files' tab in Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2012.
·
When launching the
‘AutoCAD Block Converter’ workflow, the option "Create Assembly with
Block" does not enter the correct environment.
