The Help that you are reading includes information for features available in Smoke.
The following features are not available in Backdraft Conform:
- Batch
- Action
- Paint
- Creative Effects
- The A/V Tools accessible from the FX and Flame FX menus
- Many Soft Effects (specifically Axis, Wipe, Sparks, Colour Correction, Blend, Text)
- Matte containers
Many soft effects and certain soft effects functionality are not available in Backdraft Conform.
- In Backdraft Conform, you can only create Timewarp, Resize and Colour Source soft effects.
- Soft effects are preserved but you will not be able to edit them.
- In Backdraft Conform, you can apply soft effects to segments on the timeline through the soft effects quick menu. The soft
effects editor is not available for further customization.
- Soft effects created in Backdraft Conform can be copied from the Timeline; you cannot copy those created in Smoke.
- If proxies are enabled for your project, you cannot switch between full resolution and proxy mode in the soft effects quick
menu. In Backdraft Conform, switch between full resolution and proxy mode in the Player.
- In the Preferences, the Default Blend Mode box is used to select the type of blending transition.
- You can apply Resize soft effects to gaps. You can, for example, create a Resize gap effect to add a border to an entire project.
In Backdraft Conform, clip history is read-only. A source clip's history can be expanded, but the clip cannot be deleted.
