A matte container is a container with the RGB portion of an image on one track and its matte on another. If the matte for
a clip exists separately from it, you can add the clip and its matte to the timeline as a single element by creating a matte
container for them.
To create a matte container:
- Select the clip you want to add the matte container to.
- Click the FX button and add an Axis Timeline FX or right-click on the clip, select Add Effect and choose the Axis Timeline
FX.
- From the Axis Timeline FX settings, click the Matte button.
- Select a Matte from the Workspace. The Matte Container button appears in the Effects Menu.
- To open the Matte Container, click once on the Matte Container button and then click open, or double-click on the Matte Container
button.
- Once the Matte container is open, you can adjust the settings for the matte or add other effects to it.
- If you want to mute the matte, right-click the Matte Container button and select Mute.
- If you want to remove the matte, click once on the Matte Container button and then click on the Uncontain button.
