Speed field
Enter a value for the speed of the audio clip based on a percentage.
Time Ratio field
Enter a value for the duration of the audio clip by setting a time ratio.
Pitch Shift field
Enter a value for the pitch of the audio clip. This is the ratio of the shifted frequency values divided by the original frequency values. Set to1.00 to keep the audio pitch constant when applying the audio timewarp. Set to 2 to shift the pitch one octave up. Set to 0.5 to shift the pitch one octave down.
Time/Frequency Localization option box
Select a time/frequency localization option that suits your audio material. Lambda1 - Full time localization. Suitable for single-instrument tracks and voice-over. Lambda2 - High time localization and low frequency localization. Lambda3 - Mid time/frequency localization (the best general-purpose setting). Lambda4 - High frequency localization and low time localization. Lambda5 - Full frequency localization. Suitable for multi-instrument tracks, such as classical music.
Quality Factor option box
Select the quality of the resulting audio. This can be set to Quick, Standard, or High Quality mode. Use a lower quality mode to experiment with different settings, and then use High Quality to render the final result.

Gate Settings

Gate Settings button
Enable to lower or remove the perceptible level of noise in an audio signal from an audio segment.
Threshold field
Determines the level at which the Noise Gate stays open. The values for the threshold are: -96 db - 0 db.Signals exceeding the Threshold pass through unaffected. Signals not meeting the Threshold are attenuated based on the Ratio and Floor settings.
Ratio field
Defines the amount of gain reduction applied to the signal below the Threshold level. The values for the ratio are: 1:1 - 20:1.For example, a Ratio of 2:1 means that for every 2 dB the input signal increases, the output signal will only increase by 1 dB.
Attack field
Defines the speed at which the Noise Gate will open once the audio level goes above the Threshold. The values for the attack are: 0.01 ms - 10 ms.A short attack rate means that the early part of the signal will not be attenuated. If the attack time is too short a click can be heard when the gate opens. A long attack rate means that most of the early part of the signal is attenuated. The result can be more natural sounding than using a short Attack.
Hold field
Defines the minimum time that the Noise Gate will stay open. The values for the hold field are: 0 ms - 1000 msA longer hold time can help avoid chattering by preventing the gate from closing prematurely. For example when used with speech, the short pauses between words or sentences will not cause the gate to close.
Release field
Defines how quickly the Noise Gate will close once the level has dropped below the Threshold. The values for the release field are 10 ms - 2000 ms or Auto.A larger release value allows for a smooth decay rather than an abrupt cut when the gate closes.
Bypass Effects button
Enable to bypass the currently active audio timelineFX.

Compression Settings

Compression button
Enable to reduce the dynamic range of an audio signal from an audio segment.
Threshold field
Determines the level above which signals are affected by the compression. The values for the threshold are: -60 db - 0 db.Signals below the Threshold are not compressed. Signals above the Threshold are compressed based on the Ratio setting.
Ratio field
Defines the amount of gain reduction applied to the signal above the Threshold level. The values for the ratio are: 1:1 - 20:1For example, a Ratio of 2:1 means that for every 2 dB the input signal increases, the output signal will only increase by 1 dB. Gain reduction is displayed on the compression meter.
Attack field
Defines the speed at which the compression is applied when the signal has reached the Threshold level. The values for the attack are: 0.01 ms - 100 ms.A fast attack rate means that most of the signal is compressed. A slow attack rate means the early part of the signal will not be compressed. The result is more natural sounding than using a fast Attack.
Release field
Defines the speed at which the compressed signal returns to its original value when the input signal level goes below the Threshold value. The values for the release field are 10 ms - 1000 ms or Auto.If Auto Release is enabled, the optimal value is automatically set.
Output Gain field
Defines the amount of gain to add to the output signal. The values for the output gain are: -10db - 24dbFor example, if you applied a lot of compression to the signal, you may want to add some output gain to set the output signal to its original overall loudness level.
