You can save multiple Desktops from the Media panel and restore them. When you restore a Desktop, you restore settings and
media associated with the Desktop.
To save a Desktop:
- From the Viewing panel menu bar, enter a name in the Desktop Name field.
- Click Snapshot.
The saved Desktop appears under Desktop Snapshots, in the Media panel.
NoteWhen you make a change to a saved Desktop (deleting a clip from a reel, for example), an asterisk appears next to that saved
Desktop, under Desktop Snapshots in the Media panel. This lets you know at a glance that changes have been made to the Desktop
since you last saved it. To keep the changes, save the Snapshot again.
To restore a Desktop:
- In the Media panel, right-click the Desktop you want to restore and select Replace Desktop or Append Desktop from the contextual
menu.
- Replace Desktop : Clears the current Desktop and replaces it with the Desktop you restored.
- Append Desktop : Appends the restored Desktop to the current Desktop.
The selected Desktop is loaded and appears under Desktop, in the Media panel.
