Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension SP4 (build #550) April 25, 2008 ====================================== Notice to Autodesk Inventor Customers ====================================== In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4, which fixes or addresses a variety of issues pertaining to Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension. This README file highlights how to install the patch, what has been fixed, and how to download the update. ================================================================================ CONTENTS ========== - Installation Instructions - Summary of issues addressed by this Service Pack - Service Pack Download Location ================================================================================ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ======================== The following existing Client Upgrades must be uninstalled prior to installing Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension SP4: - Autodesk Inventor 11 SP3 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2008 - Autodesk Inventor 11 SP3 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2009 Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension SP4 must then be installed prior to installing a new client upgrade: - Autodesk Inventor 11 SP4 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2008 - Autodesk Inventor 11 SP4 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2009 NOTE: These client upgrades apply to all flavors of Autodesk Inventor 11. (1) Download the Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4 patch file "Inventor11_DWF_Ext_SP4.msp" **You must have Administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4** (2) Double-click on the downloaded file to start the install. You will also have a progress meter on your screen while the setup program is updating the files on your system. Click Finish when done. (3) If requested, please reboot your system after the service pack is installed. *For final verification, from within Autodesk Inventor, select "About Autodesk Inventor" from the Help menu. If Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4 has been successfully installed, the About box displays: "Build: 550, Release: 11 SP4" NOTE: If you perform a repair to the Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension SP4 install and have the Autodesk Inventor 11 SP4 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2008 or ADMS 2009 installed - you will no longer be able to connect to the ADMS 2008 or ADMS 2009. To fix this you will need to uninstall Autodesk Inventor 11 SP4 Client Upgrade for ADMS 2008 or ADMS 2009 and then reinstall it. ==================================================================================== Summary of customer issues addressed in Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4 include: ==================================================================================== NOTE: CER stands for Customer Error Reporting and NG stands for News Group AUTODESK INVENTOR PROFESSIONAL 11 DWF Extension =============================================== CABLE & HARNESS ================ Fixed the following issue: - "Harness Properties" command fails to be shown in the iPart connector context menu in Cable & Harness environment TUBE & PIPE =========== Fixed the following issue: - Comatose status of Tube and Pipe route under non-master positional presentation fails to be recovered when switching back to master positional presentation --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTODESK INVENTOR 11 DWF EXTENSION =================================== ASSEMBLY MODELING ================== Fixed the following issues: - Sometimes Inventor prompts to save multiple assemblies on closing a clean IDW - Sometimes Inventor crashes when you mirror a complex assembly - Sometimes assembly does not update when there is any part is derive from other which has a linking excel changed - NG: Design Doctor can not show sick features under subassembly - Work plane "Flip normal" inside a sub assembly makes a non related sub assembly to be prompted to save when you close the assembly CONTENT CENTER ================ Fixed the following issues: - User defined columns can't be mapped against "Project.Part Number" - CER: Crash in CC Favorites - NG: Length needs manual update when instance a Steel Shape family after replace family template - Wrong part list info for some CC parts after Refresh Standard Components for migration from Inventor 10 to Inventor 11 - NG: Unable to update legacy library with "Not available" library existing in library configuration DRAWING MANAGER ================= Fixed the following issues: - Hospital not active when sick centerlines are present - Center mark not possible on elliptic geometry - CER: Crash when moving an detail view from one sheet to another - CER: Bad sketch in a sheet causes crash on clone of sheet - Linear dimensions sometimes causes views to disappear on view update - Subscription: Model dimensions and drawing dimensions are not consistent - Empty DWF if part is bigger than drawing sheet - Out of date DWF is created in Vault - Certain breakout views are missing hatches - Section line from deleted section view will be visible inside print preview and printed result - Section lines move after migrated to Inventor 11 PART MODELING ============== Fixed the following issues: - CER: Can not edit failed Mirror with deleted mirror plane - No dialog box when using "save copy as" on flat pattern ======================================================================================= NOTES: ====== Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension, Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 1, Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 2, Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 3 and Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4 use the same file formats (.iam, .ipt, .idw, .ipn, .idv, .ide). All file types can be interchanged among these versions. The size of Autodesk Inventor 11 DWF Extension Service Pack 4 is approximately 17 MB.
