• Install only the bit-type version of Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1 corresponding to the bit-type version of your installation of Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010.
• Have the original installation disc or network image readily accessible. During installation/uninstallation, you might be prompted for the original installation disc or network image.
• There are no Client Updates, or an Inventor View service pack, associated with this release.

• Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1.
• On Windows Vista installations, disable the User Account Control feature.
• The 32-bit version of Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1 is approximately 57 MB in size. A minimum of 450 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.
• The 64-bit version of Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1 is approximately 60 MB in size. A minimum of 450 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.

To install Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1:
1. Uninstall any previous Beta versions of Autodesk Inventor 2010.
2. Install Autodesk Inventor 2010.
3. Install the Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Add-In.
4. Install Autodesk Inventor 2010 Service Pack 1.
5. Update your operating system before installing Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1, especially KB952696 for Vista. Reboot your system after the updates are installed.
6. Download the appropriate version of Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 Service Pack 1; either 32-bit or 64-bit, depending upon the bit type of your operating system.
7. Double click the .msp file to update Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010 with Service Pack 1. A progress bar displays while the installer updates the files on your system. When done, click Finish.
8. If required, reboot the system after the service pack installation is finished.



To verify the installation was successful, access Add or Remove Programs and view the Support Info for Autodesk Inventor Tooling 2010, which will display the version as: 14.253.203.

Summary of Issues Addressed By this Service Pack

Inventor Tooling

• System performance degrades due to memory intensive processes, especially while you open a complex mold design, switch the browser, edit certain mold features, or execute Mold Update.
• Sheet Format value is not recorded in the UI when you set the value in the Drawing Setting dialog.
• The first created filter group in a Drawing UI cannot be recorded if you create it after removing one default drawing filter group.
• Cannot modify the height of a HASCO mold base plate for the first time when using a comma as a decimal symbol if the Regional Language Setting of the operating system is set to German.
• The range value of some hole parameters of some standard components families is wrongly parsed if the Regional Language Setting of the operating system is set to German.
• Messages sometimes display when you place a customized mold base.
• Inventor crashes when you drag a bounce animation progress back to the start position while it is running.
• Bridge Curve crashes when you select a sketch line which is profiled from an axis.
