In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this Service Pack 1 for the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011. This file highlights installation of the service pack.

• This tool allows users to view native Autodesk Inventor 2011 CAD data.
• The standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 can NOT be installed on the same system as Autodesk Inventor 2011. Autodesk Inventor 2011 already contains this View utility and that version will be updated with Inventor by installing Autodesk Inventor 2011 Service Pack 1.
• Install only the bit-type version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1 that corresponds to the bit-type version of your installation of the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011.
• Have the original installation disc or network image readily accessible. During installation, or uninstallation, you may be prompted for the original installation disc or network image.

• Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1.
• On Windows Vista and Windows 7 installations, disable the User Account Control feature.
• The 32-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1 is approximately 18 MB in size. A minimum of 400 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.
• The 64-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1 is approximately 34 MB in size. A minimum of 800 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.

To install Service Pack 1 for the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011:
1. Install the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011.
2. Update your operating system before installing Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1, especially KB952696 for Vista. Reboot your system after the updates are installed.
3. Download the appropriate version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1. Either 32-bit or 64-bit, depending upon the bit type of your operating system.
4. Double click the .msp file to update the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2011 with Service Pack 1. A progress bar displays while the installer updates the files on your system. When done, click Finish.
5. If required, reboot the system after the service pack installation is finished.
6. If you install Inventor View 2011 on Windows Vista or Windows 7, when you launch it for the first time after installing Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1, right-click on the Inventor View shortcut, and use "Run as administrator" if User Account Control (UAC) is enabled, or your current user is not an Administrator group.



To verify the installation was successful, start Autodesk Inventor View 2011 Service Pack 1. On the Help menu, select About Inventor View. If the About box displays: Build: 282 , Release: 2011 SP1, the installation was successful.
