In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this Service Pack 2 for the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012. This file highlights installation of the service pack.

• Use this tool to view native Autodesk Inventor 2012 CAD data.
• The installation of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 1 is no longer a prerequisite for the installation of Service Pack 2. However, Service Pack 2 still installs if Service Pack 1 is present. Service Pack 2 includes all fixes included in Service Pack 1. To update from Autodesk Inventor View 2012 and obtain the latest updates for your installation, you may install only Service Pack 2, skipping Service Pack 1.
• Autodesk Inventor 2012 already contains Autodesk Inventor View 2012 and that version is updated with Inventor by installing Autodesk Inventor 2012 Service Pack 2.
• Install only the bit-type version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 that corresponds to the bit-type version of your installation of the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012.

• Verify you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2.
• The 32-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 is approximately 26 MB in size. A minimum of 460 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.
• The 64-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 is approximately 53 MB in size. A minimum of 858 MB of free disk space is required on the drive where your temporary files are directed.

Installation

1. Before you install Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2, update your operating system and reboot your system after the updates are installed.
2. If Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 1 is installed, you can leave it in place, as Service Pack 2 installs on top of it.
3. Download either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2, depending upon the bit type of your operating system.
4. Double click the .msp file to update the standalone version of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 with Service Pack 2. A progress bar displays while the installer updates the files on your system. When done, click Finish.
5. If required, reboot the system after the service pack installation is finished.

To verify the installation was successful, start Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2. On the Help menu, select About Inventor View. If the About box displays: Build: 219, Release: 2012 SP2, the installation was successful.

Uninstallation

In certain situations, the uninstallation of Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 has a dependency on the original installation media. We recommend that before you start this uninstall, ensure the original installation media is available.

Remove Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 through the typical operating system uninstall capability.

Uninstalling Autodesk Inventor View 2012 Service Pack 2 returns installations to the state they were in prior to its installation.
