What is the Autodesk Mechanical Desktop Object Enabler?

The Autodesk Mechanical Desktop Object Enabler is a freeware application that
you can use to view Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawing files on the following
products:

AutoCAD® 2007
Autodesk® 3ds Max® 8 SP3
Autodesk® Architectural Desktop 2007
Autodesk® Building Systems 2007
Autodesk® Viz 2007

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
==============================================================================

(1) If you are downloading the Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2007 Object Enabler
from www.autodesk.com, download the zip file and extract the zip file to a folder
in your hard drive. If you are installing the Object Enabler from the CD-ROM,
skip this step.

(2) If you are installing the Object Enabler on Autodesk® 3ds Max® 8 SP3, you 
need to have RealDWG 2007 already installed on Autodesk® 3ds Max® 8 SP3. RealDWG 2007 
is available for download at http://support.autodesk.com/getDoc.asp?id=DL7176194

(3) Double click on the setup.exe executable file. This will run the 
Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2007 Object Enabler setup.

(4) Choose the products on which you would like to install the Object Enabler.

Limitations of the Autodesk Mechanical Desktop Object Enabler
==============================================================================
- When opening an Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawing file in AutoCAD based 
products you may see a proxy warning about the Mechanical Desktop objects in 
the drawing even after installing the Object Enabler.
- When opening an Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawing file in AutoCAD, Autodesk
Architectural Desktop, or Autodesk Building Systems you will not be able
to edit or save the file.
