Downloading and Updating the IPv6 Support Files

You must already have the Autodesk Network License Manager installed in order to apply the IPv6 Support update. If you do not already have the Autodesk Network License Manager installed on your server, refer to the Network Licensing Guide in the Help system for installation instructions.

To download the IPv6 Support software

Before you can perform any system maintenance on your license server, including updates, you must stop the license server. When you have completed the update, you must restart the license server.

To stop the Network License Server

1.    Unzip the file into a folder on the machine as follows:

 

tar –zxvf nlm11.10_ipv6_linux64.tar.gz

 

2.    Install the FLEXnet server RPM (extracted above) with the command below and follow the instructions.

 

rpm -vhi nlmipv6support_linux64.rpm

 

3.       The NLM should be installed under /opt/flexnetserver.

 To update the Autodesk Network License Manager for IPv6

  1. Do one of the following to extract the IPv6 Support File in your folder:
  2. Replace the original Autodesk Network License Manager file with the newly extracted file.

To restart the Network License Server

  1. In a shell window, navigate to the Autodesk Network License Manager folder (containing the files lmutil, lmgrd, and adskflex).
  2. In that folder, enter the following command to start the Network License Server:

./lmgrd –c license_file_list –l debug_log_path

Note: It is recommended to start lmgrd with a non-root user. If you must start lmgrd with a root user, enter the following to run lmgrd as a non-privileged user:

su username ./lmgrd –c license_file_list –l debug_log_path

where username is a non-privileged user.
