Register Today Proxy Licensing Hotfix

This hotfix repairs a problem that does not allow online activation or license transfer from behind a proxy server.


Description of Problem

On Microsoft Windows 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, during the activation of your product or during a license transfer, an error message occurs indicating that an Internet connection is not detected. This error can occur on clients behind a proxy server when there is an Internet connection. The following products are affected by this problem.

To install Register Today Proxy Licensing Hotfix

NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft Windows operating system to complete the installation process.

  1. On the computer where the affected product is installed, close all software applications and log on as the Administrator.
  2. Download the RegisterToday.dll file to a local temp directory.
  3. Open the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM\R1 directory and rename the RegisterToday.dll file to RegisterToday.old.
  4. Move the downloaded RegisterToday.dll file to this directory (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM\R1). You should now be able to activate online or transfer a license from behind a proxy.
