In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released Service Pack 1 for Productstream Professional
2009, which fixes or addresses a variety of issues pertaining to Productstream Professional 2009. This README file highlights how to install the service pack, what has been fixed, and how to download the update.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE NOTE:
- It is recommended that Productstream Professional 2009 Service Pack 1 be installed prior to installing Inventor 2009 Service Pack 1. If Inventor 2009 SP1
was installed prior to Productstream Professional 2009 SP1 please refer to the Other Recommended Updates section.
- This service pack update only applies to Productstream Professional 2009 client and server products.
- Autodesk strongly recommends backing up all databases and necessary files PRIOR to installing this service pack.
- With the release of this service pack Productstream Professional 2009 SP1 now supports Windows XP SP3.
- On Vista operating systems, the first time you open a new Inventor document from PSP after installing SP1, you may not get the correct template file in the template dialog by default. To get the correct template file please follow these steps:
- Select Tools>Application Options
- Click on the File tab
- Set the Default templates to the correct Inventor template folder
- Restart Inventor
To install server changes for Productstream Professional 2009 SP1:
- Download the service pack 1 file PSP 2009 Service Pack 1.exe
- Double-click on the downloaded file to begin installing the service pack
- Follow the installation instructions
To install client changes for Productstream Professional 2009 SP1:
- Start the client and log in
- A dialog appears telling you ‘Your workstation’s Productstream-Installation will be updated’
- Click ‘OK’ and then ‘Update’
To install Replicator updates for Productstream Professional 2009 SP1:
- Stop “Autodesk Productstream Professional Replicator Service 2009” in Services on all client machines
- Install Productstream Professional 2009 SP1 on the server machine
- Launch Productstream Professional 2009 clients and perform update
- Unzip PSP 2009 Replicator SP1.zip to a local folder
- Double click setup.exe to install Replicator SP1 on the server machine
- Install the Replicator client service on all client machines from the directory “…\Productstream Professional 2009 Server\client_replicator”
To install Access Control Manager updates for Productstream Professional 2009 SP1:
- Unzip PSP 2009 ACM SP1.zip to a local folder
- Double click setup.exe to install
Note: If installing ACM on a server with a prior build of ACM be sure to select the same folders and paths as the existing installation of ACM.

OTHER RECOMMENDED UPDATES
Autodesk Inventor 2009 Service Pack 1
If Inventor 2009 SP1 is installed prior to Productstream Professional 2009 SP1 you may experience a question mark (?) instead of a Productstream Menu in Inventor
and question marks on the Productstream toolbar in Inventor. To correct this please follow these steps to reset the menu bars:
- Start the Customize command by selecting Tools>Customize
- Click on the Environments tab
- Execute Reset Menu Bar on these environments:
- Inventor
- Assembly
- Drawing
- Part
- Presentation
Autodesk Design Review
It is strongly recommended that Autodesk Design Review be up to date with all service packs and updates. Please check that all available updates have been applied to Autodesk Design Review:

SUMMARY OF ISSUES ADDRESSED BY THIS SERVICE PACK
Productstream Professional
- Resolved an issue with lost relationship after ‘Create New Revision’ when doing an import on Oracle server
- Resolved an issue with the modified date and time of documents after export
- Resolved an issue with having two released revisions of one document after an import
- Resolved an issue of having two In Review revisions of one document after an import
- Resolved an issue with changing password after updating from PSC5 to PSP2009
- Resolved an issue that report does not work when setting “Standards and formats” to “French” in the Regional Options dialog
- Resolved the an issue with the wrong document structure after an import with 'Create New Revision'
- When using Create New Revision it is best to first create new revisions for all parts, then subassemblies, and finally
the main assembly in order to make sure that all references remain intact.
- Resolved an issue of buttons on Preview Tool palette being inactive when switching between documents
- Resolved an issue of previewing for RST files which displayed all white
- Resolved an issue when exiting via Productstream menu while ADR is initializing
- Resolved an issue of "Server Busy" error message popping up when previewing large office documents
- Resolved an issue of some temp files persisiting in "Recent Documents" of Word and Excel applications after quickly
switching between office documents
- Resolved an issue that the 3D context menu is displayed as two rows after invoking Select command using ADR 2009 SP1
- Resolved an issue of "Show All" and "Invert Selection" commands appearing in the 3D context menu using ADR 2009 SP1
- Resolved an issue with right click on the Preview context menu when viewing office documents
- Resolved an issue that fails to view the *.docm document
- Resolved an issue that opens office document while preview is still loading causing an extra office document opened
and preview loading forever
- Resolved an issue with GetMaxKey not working on an Oracle database
- Resolved an issue with Internal function ___Prepare not creating files with format ANSI
- Resolved an issue when using Cat function
- Resolved an issue when using Shell function “wr” will resulted in an excess tab at the end of strings
- Disabled the commands “Replace by copy” and “Replace by new Revision” for functional documents (e.g. Bolted Connection,
Pipe in order to keep the consistency, ...) in Inventor integration, in order to keep the consistency with Productstream Professional client
- Resolved an issue of saving a read only document from Inventor to be a DWF-Markup document
- Resolved an issue with not being able to remove reservation of Inventor documents if there is no CAD application installed
- Resolved an issue when running the AIMDUPDATEPROPS2 on a standard part
- Resolved an issue of PSP not responding after invoking "Send and Save" button and adding a person's address to a Contact list
- Resolved an issue that "Send and Save" fails to work for the second time after saving the first new message in Outlook XP
- Resolved an issue that a status property inside word document didn't update after changing status
- Resolved an issue related to using the macro enabled templates for Word and Excel documents
- Resolved an issue with a time out error when a SQL command takes more than 30 seconds
- Resolved an issue with invoking create dialog after upgrading a big database from PSP 2008 to PSP 2009
- Resolved the an issue with the “JobServerInterval” variable
- Resolved an issue of Productstream Professional client being launched when Jobserver automatically restarts
- Resolved an issue with the command “___JobCreate” not working while executing a job
- Resolved an issue of Jobserver hanging when running the command “___SetPrinter” twice
- Resolved an issue with remove link executing between locations and documents even though the documents have references
- Resolved an issue with read $LOCATION via Jobserver if Replicator is installed
- Resolved an issue with the permission of ‘WORLD_GROUP’ (which set in Element table in SQL server) wasn't transferred
to the file system
- Resolve a lost references issue with Inventor iPart\iAssembly components when round tripping data to Vault and back
