Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011 Hotfix 1 - Various Issues
In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this hotfix which resolves various issues after Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011 was released.

·
Upgrading old QTO projects to
QTO 2011 version takes a very long time to complete.
·
When upgrading old QTO projects
to QTO 2011 version, there is no way to split the WBS from Description.
·
Some GAEB catalogs cannot be
imported due to duplicate WBS IDs.
·
Space cannot be used as
separator to parse Description and extract WBS.
·
When importing catalogs, unable
to preview the catalog items before inputting the separator.
·
Changes made to Catalog
Parameters for Timberline items are not saved.
·
Workbook: After editing the WBS
value in the Workbook, the Info-Textbox does not refresh to show the new value.
·
Incorrect layout of takeoff
items when printing out the Workbook.
·
Legend: The scale of the
Hatching Symbol is not a fixed value.
·
Legend: Count-Symbols with
square style have different sizes with area, volume and linear symbols.
·
Sometimes, the thickness of the
linear object is lost in the canvas.
·
Changing the type of the item
adds duplicate QTY2 entries to the dropdown list in "Cost Data" tab in
takeoff item’s properties dialog.
·
Shift+TAB key cannot work in takeoff palette and properties palette.
·
Crash: use 'Tab' and 'Enter'
key to edit properties palette design tab cell will cause crash.
·
Application hangs if using
'Tab' key to go through treelist when only "Value" column is
displayed in Design tab of Properties Palette.
·
The default unit and default
currency are not set appropriately when creating project for German locale.
·
Print workbook dialog does not show
default paper size and unit for German locale.
·
The “Getting started…” pops up
English CHM for German locale.
Note: You must have Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011 installed on the system in order to see the benefit of this hotfix.
To Install the Hotfix
· Close all software applications.
·
Unzip aqto_2011_hotfix1_deu.zip to your local machine.
· Install the hotfix by either of two options below:
Ø Option #1: Automated installation
§ Run Install.bat to automatically install all fixes into your machine. (Make sure you run it as Administrator for Windows Vista or Windows 7)
Ø Option #2: Manual installation
§ Navigate to the folder where Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011 is installed.
Default install folder for 32-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011\
Default install folder for 64-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011\
§ Rename the affected original files. See File Patched by This Update for a list of files to rename.
For example, in the folder, right-click the Autodesk.Takeoff.Core.dll file and rename it Autodesk.Takeoff.Core.dll.bak.
§ Extract the files in the aqto_2011_hotfix1_deu.zip and copy them to the appropriate locations. See File Patched by This Update for locations of files.
§ Run the DrawingUnit-Deu.reg file.
To
Remove the Hotfix
· Close all software applications.
·
Unzip aqto_2011_hotfix1_deu.zip to your local machine.
· Remove the Hotfix from your computer by either of two options below:
Ø Option #1: Automated Un-installation
§ Run UnInstall.bat to automatically remove all fixes from your computer. (Make sure you run it as Administrator for Windows Vista or Windows 7)
Ø Option #2: Manual Un-installation:
§ Navigate to the folder where Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011 is installed.
Default install folder for 32-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011\
Default install folder for 64-bit Windows OS is C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Autodesk Quantity Takeoff 2011\
§ Delete the files listed in File Patched by
This Update section.
§ Rename all files ending with ".bak"
by removing the ".bak" extension.
For example, in the folder, right-click the Autodesk.Takeoff.Core.dll.bak files and rename it Autodesk.Takeoff.Core.dll.
§ Run the DrawingUnit-En.reg file.
