Revit 2012 Hotfix

Description of Problem

This hotfix addresses increases product stability when working with large datasets.

Affected Products

• Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2012
• Autodesk® Revit® Structure 2012
• Autodesk® Revit® MEP 2012

Installation Instructions

NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system to complete the installation process.

NOTE: You must have Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 installed on the system in order to apply this hotfix.

NOTE: This hotfix applies to the 64-Bit release of Revit 2012 only.

NOTE: This hotfix will modify the Revit 2012 build number to 20120126_0600(x64)

This installation requires you to replace the following file:

• Utility.dll

To Install the Hotfix on a 64-bit system

1. Close all software applications.
2. Make sure Autodesk Revit Architecture \ MEP \ Structure 2012 Update 2 is installed on the system.
3. Navigate to your product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program
4. Rename the affected original file.
• In the product installation Program folder, right-click the Utility.dll file and rename it Utility.bak.
5. Extract the Revit2012_Model_Stability_x64.zip to a shared folder.
6. Copy the Utility.dll located in the x64 folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program
• If using Revit MEP or Revit Structure substitute that Program folder.
