Contents
Summary of Issues Addressed by this Service Pack
The following list contains descriptions for issues fixed in this Service Pack.
For your convenience, the list is separated into distinct feature areas.
Modeling
-
Transform CV requires two clicks on the hot spot icon to make it work correctly.
-
Offset of certain surfaces could cause Alias to crash.
-
The Duplicate Mirror command incorrectly flips the surface normal of an object
when it is duplicated across a plane.
-
When working with the Symmetry option in the Skin tool, selecting a symmetric
curve or surface edge could cause Alias to crash.
-
Fillet Flange and Tube Flange can be very slow when working with a large number
of curves, especially when zoomed in close to the model.
-
Setting the Fillet Tool to Multiple Surfaces mode, with the Interior Edge Align
option set to Free and Start and/or End Edge Align set to Edge Align, could
cause Alias to crash.
-
In Draft, Fillet Flange, Tube Flange, Tubular Offset, and Profile Blend tool,
Chain Select option sometimes fails to correctly update.
-
It is not possible to pick curves when using the Picked Vector option in the MS
Draft tool.
-
Shift-clicking on a CV while in the MS Draft tool could cause Alias to crash.
-
The Profile tool produces surfaces with interior multiple knots that are not at
full multiplicity.
-
The Span/Degree parameter of curves/surfaces which are used to generate Profile
surfaces cannot be modified.
-
In the Profile tool, the 'Maximum Spans' option is not working.
-
Unify Normals does not respect surface normal changes.
User Interface
-
Selected reference geometry’s highlight color is incorrect.
-
If the Confirm box is open, mousing down and moving in the Confirm box anywhere
other than the window frame or confirm buttons could cause Alias to crash.
-
If the Hotkeys/Menu Editor is open, and you drag a tool to any Shelf, the expand
state of the title blocks will get mixed up.
-
If you have established an interior attachment at the bottom of the main Alias
window (for example shift-snapping the Shelf to the bottom), selection of the
currently active modeling view will be wrong.
Data Organize
-
Alias could become unstable if there are more than 256 layers and you perform
layer operations.
-
If the Object Lister is opened during a file New, Retrieve, or Delete All, Alias
may crash.
-
The opened state of the Embedded Object Lister was not being remembered between
sessions of Alias.
-
When the Embedded option in the Object Lister's option box is selected, the
Object Lister is embedded on the left side. However if you shift-snap a window
(for example Palette) to the left inside of the main Alias window, the Object
Lister will never close.
-
When the Object Lister is along the right border of the screen, the color picker
window may expand beyond the screen area.
-
Sometimes you need to click Bookmark twice to make it work properly.
-
Window Title was not correctly updating after a Stage was renamed via the API.
Direct-Connects
-
Catia Export fails if there are any Surface-Points and Cos-Points in the scene.
-
The ALIAS_PREFS_LOCATION Environment Variable is not being correctly respected
when the securityInfo.txt file is written by Alias.
Data
Import/Export
-
Meshes exported to EDF do not properly retain their location/size.
Render
-
When you switch stages in Alias, the current Shader will incorrectly change to
default Shader.
-
If the Shader Editor is left open on exit, but the Multi-Lister is not open; any
subsequent launch of Alias will crash while attempting to open the Shader
Editor.
Miscellaneous
-
Implement the UI option(s) to Enable/Disable reading of ProE construction data.
-
Mcheck tool: Add an option that allows user to specify the deletion of locators
after the completion of a check; it will greatly improve performance after the
checking is completed. (But it won't improve the speed of the check itself.)
