This Readme contains information regarding the installation and use of this Service Pack. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the Service Pack to your product. For your reference, you should save this Readme to your hard drive or print a copy.

An issue with alignment geometry point label station numbers has been resolved. The correct values are now displayed.
An issue with the Dragged State Components Display control in the Dragged
State Tab (Label Style Composer dialog box) has been resolved. Previously,
when set to As Composed, when you dragged a label from its insertion point,
the leader would move but the label remained in its original location.

Resource Manager Error: Cannot load resource only DLL: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\AecResMgr50enu.dll
This error message may also be displayed when running the AutoCAD Civil
3D Content Browser feature on certain non-English language operating systems.
If you see this error message, simply click OK and proceed with Service
Pack installation or with using the Content Browser.
Important: You cannot run an automatic uninstall to remove this service pack. To restore your version of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 to its pre-service pack state, uninstall AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 and reinstall it.

NOTE: Once the registry changes have been applied to the client, the Communication Center in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 will alert the users with a "Maintenance Update Available" notice. When the user clicks on the notice, a page will be displayed that says "Autodesk Live Update." This page contains instructions, a description of the patch, and an "Update" button that will start the patch download and install.
The following two methods of distributing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Service Pack 1 apply only to administrative images created with the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Network Installation wizard. After you complete these procedures, any new deployments of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 will have the service pack applied to them automatically.
NOTE: In both of the following procedures, the service pack file that you download contains an MSP (Microsoft Patch) file. You must extract that file from the executable file. To extract the MSP file from the executable, use the /e ("extract") switch.
To add AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Service Pack 1 to a new AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 administrative image

NOTE: Do not select the option to append the administrative image as this method will not include the service pack in the installation.
To apply AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Service Pack 1 to an existing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 administrative image
NOTE: Before applying this AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 Service Pack 1 to the existing AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 administrative image, make sure that all client machines have already been updated with the Service Pack 1.
