Redundant License Server Hotfix
This hotfix repairs a problem with the configuration of the redundant license server causing servers to stop when the master server has been changed twice.
Description of Problem
Changing the master server twice in a redundant server configuration causes a problem with redundancy and stops all servers.

Downloading and Updating the Redundant License Server Hotfix
You must already have the Autodesk Network License Manager installed in order to apply this hotfix. If you do not already have the Autodesk Network License Manager installed on your server, refer to the Network Licensing Guide in the Help system for installation instructions.
To download the Redundant License Hotfix
- Download the nlmipv4support_win32.exe file to your desktop.
To stop the Network License Server
Before you can perform any system maintenance on your license server, including updates, you must stop the license server. When you have completed the update, you must restart the license server.
You should be logged in with Administrator rights when working with the LMTOOLS utility.
- Right-click the LMTOOLS icon on the desktop and click Run As Administrator.
- In the LMTOOLS program, click the Start/Stop/Reread tab.
- On the Start/Stop/Reread tab, click Stop Server, wait 15 seconds, and then proceed.
- Close lmtools.exe.
- Locate the existing installed Autodesk Network License Manager files: lmtools.exe, lmutil.exe, lmgrd.exe, and adskflex.exe in the default location C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\ (or alternative path if not installed in the default location).
- Create a back-up copy of the existing Network License Manager files.
To update the Autodesk Network License Manager
- Double-click the nlmipv4support_win32.exe file on your desktop. This will extract the support file to C:\install\Autodesk\lmipv4support_win32.
- Locate the new support file, lmgrd.exe now located inC:\install\Autodesk\nlmipv4support_win32 .
- Copy the new support file from C:\install\Autodesk\nlmipv4support_win32 to the location where your existing Autodesk Network License Manager is installed.
- When prompted to replace the existing files, click Yes.
To restart the Network License Server
You should be logged in with Administrator rights when working with the LMTOOLS utility.
- Right-click the LMTOOLS icon on the desktop and click Run As Administrator.
- In the LMTOOLS program, click the Start/Stop/Reread tab.
- On the Start/Stop/Reread tab, click Start Server.
- Close lmtools.exe .
