Revit 2012 Hotfix

Description of Problem

This hotfix restores the ability to export material information applied to elements when exporting to ODBC.

Installation Instructions

NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft® Windows® operating system to complete the installation process.

NOTE: You must have Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 installed on the system in order to apply this hotfix.

This installation requires you to replace the following files:


To Install the Hotfix on a 32-bit system

  1. Close all software applications.
  2. Make sure the Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 is installed on the system.
  3. Navigate to your product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program
  4. Rename the affected original files.
  5. Extract the Revit_2012_MaterialsExport_Hotfix.zip to a shared folder.
  6. Copy the RevitDB.dll and EssentialsDB.dll located in the x86 folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit <Version> 2012\Program

 

To Install the Hotfix on a 64-bit system

  1. Close all software applications.
  2. Make sure the Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 is installed on the system.
  3. Navigate to your product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program
  4. Rename the affected original files.
  5. Extract the Revit_2012_MaterialsExport_Hotfix.zip to a shared folder.
  6. Copy the RevitDB.dll and EssentialsDB.dll located in the x64 folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit <Version> 2012\Program
