Revit 2012 Hotfix
Description of Problem
This
hotfix addresses issues related to the UK Terminology not being present in the
User Interface after installation.
Affected Products

Installation Instructions
NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft®
Windows® operating system to complete the installation process.
This
installation requires you to replace the following files:
- FamilyResENU.dll
- GeneratedResENU.dll
- HostObjResENU.dll
- RevitENU.dll
- UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll
Updating Revit Structure 2012 after Installation:
To Install the Hotfix on a 32-bit system
- Close all software applications.
- Navigate to your product installation folder; for
example C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program
- Rename the affected original files.
- In the product installation Program folder,
right-click files FamilyResENU.dll,
GeneratedResENU.dll, HostObjResENU.dll, RevitENU.dll and rename them to FamilyResENU.bak,
GeneratedResENU.bak, HostObjResENU.bak, RevitENU.bak
- Extract the Revit_Structure_2012_UK-Terminology_Hotfix_x86.zip
to a shared folder.
- Copy files FamilyResENU.dll, GeneratedResENU.dll,
HostObjResENU.dll, RevitENU.dll located
in the x86 folder to C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program
- Then, navigate to your product installation folder; for
example C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program\en-US
- If present, rename the affected original file.
- In the product installation Program folder,
right-click file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll
and rename it UIFrameworkRes.resources.bak
- Copy file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll located in the x86/en-US folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program\en-US
To Install the Hotfix on a 64-bit system
- Close all software applications.
- Navigate to your product installation folder; for
example C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program
- Rename the affected original files.
- In the product installation Program folder,
right-click files FamilyResENU.dll,
GeneratedResENU.dll, HostObjResENU.dll, RevitENU.dll and rename them to FamilyResENU.bak,
GeneratedResENU.bak, HostObjResENU.bak, RevitENU.bak
- Extract the
Revit_Structure_2012_UK-Terminology_Hotfix_x64.zip to a shared folder.
- Copy files FamilyResENU.dll, GeneratedResENU.dll,
HostObjResENU.dll, RevitENU.dll located
in the x86 folder to C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program
- Then, navigate to your product installation folder; for
example C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program\en-US
- If present, rename the affected original file.
- In the product installation Program folder,
right-click file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll
and rename it UIFrameworkRes.resources.bak
- Copy file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll located in the x64/en-US folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2012\Program\en-US
Updating Revit Structure 2012 Network Deployment Images prior to
Installation:
To add the Hotfix to a network deployment for a 32-bit system
- Verify that your deployment image has “Use the British
English” selected on the Install Configuration page for Autodesk Revit
Structure 2012. You may need to
modify your deployment image to validate.
- Close all software applications.
- Navigate to your Network Deployment image program
folder; for example <Server
Location>\ AdminImage\x86\en-us\rst2012\program
files\autodesk\root\program
- Rename the affected original files.
- In the program folder, right-click file GeneratedResENU.dll and rename it to
GeneratedResENU.bak
- Extract the
Revit_Structure_2012_UK-Terminology_Hotfix_x86.zip to a shared folder.
- Copy files GeneratedResENU.dll located
in the x86 folder to <Server
Location>\ AdminImage\x86\en-us\rst2012\program
files\autodesk\root\program
- Then, navigate to your Network Deployment image en-us
folder; for example <Server
Location>\ AdminImage\x86\en-us\rst2012\program
files\autodesk\root\program\en-US\noxlate
- Rename the affected original file.
- In the en-US folder, right-click file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll and
rename it UIFrameworkRes.resources.bak
- Copy file UIFrameworkRes.resources.dll located in the x86/en-US folder to <Server Location>\ AdminImage\x86\en-us\rst2012\program
files\autodesk\root\program\en-US\noxlate
