Before You Begin

As you prepare to install this update, keep these points in mind:

    Administrative Privileges

In order to apply this update, you must have administrative privileges.

    To Install This Update

This update may be run in 'silent mode' only. When started, the program either installs the content without any further user action, or refuses to run if the Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2011 software has not been installed.

    To Uninstall This Update

Note: This update cannot be uninstalled to revert Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2011 to its pre-update state. If you need to remove the update, you must first uninstall Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2011, and then reinstall it.

    Network Deployment

The Administrators can deploy this update over a network using the Deployment wizard. It is not possible to create deployment using a machine with already installed Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2011 software

About Windows Command Line Switches

Two Microsoft Windows command line switches are built into this update:
/e - Extracts the MSP file from the update executable.
/q - Suppresses the completion message after this update is applied. This is useful if you use a script or batch file to apply this update to multiple computers.

Instructions about how to use the /e command line switch are included in the procedures that follow.
