Common Player Buttons and Playback Controllers

 
 
 

Timecode field
Displays the current timecode of the focus clip in the Source Area (field is green) or Record Area (field is red). Drag left or right, or enter a value to display another timecode in the clip.
Viewer View Mode box
Select a viewing mode for the view area layout.
Reels Task menu
Select a task to perform on the reels.
Thumbnails Task menu
Select a task to perform on the thumbnails.
Viewer Task menu
Select a task to perform on the clip.
Player Options box
Select a player setting option.
Viewing Mode button
Changes the behaviour of the pointer.
Zoom menu
Changes the viewing size of the clip. Click in the field to manually enter a zoom level or click on the drop-down for a choice of pre-selects.
Full Screen button
Switch between the previous display size and full screen mode.
In button
Enable to set an in mark at the positioner frame or timecode. Ctrl-click to disable.
In timecode field
Displays the in point timecode. Drag left or right, or enter another timecode.
Out button
Enable to set an out mark at the positioner frame or timecode. Ctrl-click to disable.
Out timecode field
Displays the out point timecode. Drag left or right, or enter another timecode.
Duration timecode field
Displays the timecode duration between the in and out points. Drag left or right, or enter another timecode duration.
Go To Previous button
Click to go to the Previous marker type currently selected for this button. Click and hold to list a selection of previous marker types. Selecting a new marker type will change the button behaviour to this type and will also automatically change the Go To Next button to the same behaviour.
Previous Transition button
Click to go to the previous transition.
Back One Frame button
Click to go one frame back.
Play button
Click to activate the current play behaviour selected for this button. Click and hold to list a selection of playback types. The Play button will change to display the current play status; Once, Loop, or Back and Forth.

To loop playback only the selection, go to Preferences > General and change the PreRoll/ PostRoll values to 0.

Forward One Frame button
Click to go one frame forward.
Next Transition button
Click to go to the next transition.
Go To Next button
Click to go to the Next marker type currently selected for this button. Click and hold to list a selection of next marker types. Selecting a new marker type will change the button behaviour to this type and will also automatically change the Go To Previous button to the same behaviour.
Cue Mark button
Enable to add a cue mark at the current frame. Ctrl-click to disable.
