Use this parameter to control the intensity of the flare colours. By setting this value to zero the flares change to gray scale. This is very useful in controlling the 'fanciness' of the flares. |

Lens Guard Margin |
LensGuardMargin |
A lens guard is supposed to block out direct rays from light sources outside the view angle. In screen space, this means that lights outside the view area should not cause lens effects. In reality lens guards, aren't perfect and when a light is nearly within view it will cause lens effects. The Guard Margin defines a rectangle around the view plane with width equal to margin. The flare intensity falls off in a linear manner within this region. |

By animating this parameter, the flares can be animated. The individual components will rotate and translate, to simulate a realignment of the camera optics. This parameter can also be used to select a certain configuration in the flare pattern. |

Safe Overlay |
SafeOverlay |
When it is enabled, flares will take the underlying colour into account and try to make certain that the result does not exceed the maximum color intensity. If the flares rendered do not exceed this intensity, and the underlying scene neither, the result is guaranteed not to exceed. |
