ArcTangent (Expression Function Reference)

The Function > Trigonometry > ArcTangent command in the expression editor inserts the token atan( at the insertion point in the editing pane. This token evaluates the arctangent function (the inverse of tangent) of an expression. Enter an expression after the opening bracket ( then enter a closing bracket ).

The output of the atan token is a value in degrees between -90 and 90.

Example

acos(sphere.kine.local.posy)

Returns the arctangent of the local Y translation of sphere.
