Center to Center (Expression Function Reference)

The Function > Distance > Center to Center command in the expression editor inserts the token ctr_dist(<elem1>,<elem2>) at the insertion point in the editing pane. This token returns the distance between the centers of two objects. Replace the dummy arguments <elem1> and <elem2> with object names.

Object names must end in a period.

You may need to change frames to update the scene.

Example

ctr_dist(cone., Model1.sphere.)

Returns the distance between cone and sphere (which is a child of Model1).
